Modern Pawn and Guns is a family owned and operated brick and mortar store, that was established in 1990. The original location was on 5757 South Padre Island Drive, which was owned and operated by Joseph and Gina Afram. With hard work and determination, Modern Pawn and Guns soon became the main outlet for buying and selling precious metals, stones, and high end loans. As the Business grew, so did the operation, and the Afram’s sons, Mark and Malak, soon became part of the business. Now with four of the Afram's working together, not only was Modern Pawn and Guns the number one pawn shop, but the one stop shop for for Firearms and Class III weapons. Modern Pawn and Guns soon outgrew their old location and built a new building from the ground up, to accommodate their ever growing business. Modern Pawn and Guns strives to provide the best customer service at the lowest prices. Modern Pawn and Guns continues to dominate the South Texas market for buying and selling firearms, Class III weapons and silencers, coins and collectables, precious metals and stones, firearm accessories, and also provide a fair and honest outlet for getting loans.
